SUPPORT CLARE'S BREAKAWAY
UW Tacoma Alternative Breakaway is a student lead program offering any student a week long volunteer opportunity to take a meaningful break from school to serve with others. Students will graciously donate to their break to make a difference in our communities and nonprofits while working toward their personal and professional growth. We aim to keep BreakAway accessible, regardless of students’ ability to pay. In order to keep costs down for student volunteers we need your help! All funds raised go directly to the Breakaway Fund to cover travel, lodging, food and training expenses for participants.
Thank you for your support.
WHAT BREAKAWAY MEANS
Hello all! This spring break I've decided to do more than my usual trip to a warm place in pursuit of laziness and will be going on a trip with fellow classmates to Eugene, Oregon to do restoration work! I'm very excited about this trip because restoration ecology is one of the fields I'm considering pursuing as a future career and it will be great to get some real experience. I think this is also just a wonderful way to get out and be active during the break and I look forward to spending time outside getting nice and dirty with new fiends.
This is a great program that UW provides for students to not only get involved in restoring our environment but make new connections outside of our own community. Breakaway strives to make this trip as affordable for students as possible and that's why they ask for participants to fundraise for the next trip so they can sustain a fund for many trips to come.
Please help support this program by donating today.
The environment thanks you!
MY TRIP DATES: March 24th-30th
