How to apply
The University of Washington Tacoma uses an online application system. Before you begin your application you must use the link at right to create an account.
Your application does not have to be completed in one session; you can log in and work on your application whenever you want. You do not pay the application fee until you have completed your application. A credit or debit card is required to pay the fee.

Freshman application

Nonmatriculated (non-degree seeking) application
Application fee: $60
This application is for students who are taking classes but not earning a degree. Learn more
​Graduate nonmatriculated students should consult the graduate program with which they wish to take classes before applying.
Returning Student application
Application fee: $60
This application is for students previously enrolled at UW Tacoma who wish to re-enroll.
Postbaccalaureate application
Application fee: $60
A postbaccalaureate is a student who has already earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Learn more
- Postbaccalaureate students should use the Transfer Application tab above, select a program (or "undeclared") and check "post-baccalaureate" under Application Type.
Graduate School application
Application fee: $75
Note: You must apply to both the UW Graduate School and a UW Tacoma graduate program.
