Degree programs
Majors and graduate degrees are housed under separate academic programs at the University of Washington Tacoma; for example, accounting and marketing are part of the Milgard School of Business, and computer science is part of the Institute of Technology.
Majors in IAS (Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences) are interdisciplinary, and one major may include several more traditional majors within it. One example is economics: students interested in studying economics can major in Politics, Philosophy and Economics within IAS and choose the economics track. Traditional major names are listed under the UW Tacoma major names for easy reference.
