Freshmen: Requirements and checklist
Apply now! International student freshman applications for fall 2012 are still being accepted on a space-available basis. Once your application is complete (including complete high school transcripts and a test score for TOEFL, IELTS, SAT or ACT), then an application decision is usually given within 8 weeks. International freshman application checklist:
- Complete admissions application, including personal statement and activity log
- Proof of English proficiency
- $75 international application fee (paid when you submit your application)
- Official high school transcripts, translated to English if needed. Include transcripts for grade 9.

You must have at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to be considered for admission.
College-level transcripts
If you have also attended a college, university or post-secondary school, we will need official transcripts from that school. For any college or university outside the U.S., we also require you to submit a course-by-course evaluation from an educational credentialing service such as WES or FIS.
Once you are admitted, you will also need to provide proof of financial resources in order to qualify for your I-20 for F-1 student visa status.
