Scholarships for international students
Undergraduate scholarships
Global Honors
The Global Scholar award of up to $1500 (given over the period of Global Honors enrollment) is available to students admitted into the Global Honors Program beginning autumn 2012. International students are eligible for this award as well. The merit-based award is given in recognition of the academic excellence of Global Honors students and their commitment to experiential learning, be it through study abroad, community internships or discussion-based seminars. Students interested in eligibility should contact the Global Honors Program at ghonors@uw.edu.
Business majors
International students in the Milgard School of Business are eligible for merit scholarships up to $4,500 per year. Applicants to the business major or current UW Tacoma business major students should complete a separate scholarship application (deadline May 1).
Graduate Scholarships
Master of Science in Computer Science & Systems
International students are eligible for the merit-based William W. Philip Scholarship (up to $3,000 per year). A separate application must be submitted by May 31. International students can also be awarded Assistantships, some of which cover full tuition. A separate Assistantship application must be submitted.
Master of Accounting
International students are eligible for merit-based scholarships including the Milgard Endowed Scholarships, Gary E. Milgard Tribute Scholarship or the Carol Berry Milgard Scholarship. The top award is $6,500 per year. Students apply by completing the scholarship application question on the graduate admission application.
