How to enroll for summer quarter
Current UW students
If you are current University of Washington student — at any campus — you can register for summer quarter the same way you would for any other quarter. No additional steps are necessary. Registration for summer quarter generally opens in April.
Visiting undergraduate students
Enrolling in summer quarter at the University of Washington Tacoma is easy. Simply follow the steps listed below.
Please note: Enrollment in summer quarter as a visiting student does not constitute admission to the University of Washington Tacoma. For more information on how to apply for admission as a degree-seeking student, please see the Admissions section.
Step 1: Complete the Nonmatriculated Student Application online
Application for nonmatriculated summer admission must be received by June 1. A $60 nonrefundable application fee must accompany your application. Students are automatically admitted upon submission of the application and the nonrefundable application fee.
Applications are processed as soon as possible, but may take up to two weeks to process.
Step 2: Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement arrives via mail
The Registrar's Office will mail you an enrollment confirmation acknowledgement containing your UW ID number and personal access code (PAC), which you will need to register for your class.
Step 3: Register
Once you have your UW ID number and personal access code (PAC), you can register for your summer quarter class using MyUW at myuw.washington.edu. Registration for summer quarter 2012 opens May 24 for visiting students and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Graduate students
Some UW Tacoma programs may accept graduate nonmatriculated (GNM) students. Please check with the program for more information.
The Master of Education program admits students to start their coursework in summer quarter.
