I recently began working at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Labor and Employment Relations Specialist in the Human Resources Office. Previously, I had worked at the Army Corps of Engineers for 14 years, where my husband Jeff, works as a Program Manager. I still chase my teenage daughters around to their club sports, and even attended the Jr. National Volleyball Championships last summer with my oldest daughter. |

I am happy to announce that my oldest daughter, Samantha Hop, will be graduating from Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma on June 3rd, 2012. She has overcome obstacles and worked diligently to accomplish this milestone as well as giving many hours every year to community service. That's my girl! |

Karla Stover - 1995 |
When History Press decided to expand, and publish books about west coast history in addition to that of the eastern seaboard, my book on Tacoma -- Hidden Tacoma: Little-Known Tales From the City of Destiny -- was its first on any aspect of Washington State. You can read an interview here. |

The restaurant has been awarded "Best Steak" and "Best Seafood" four consecutive years by the people of South Kitsap. |

Howard (Max) Tritt - 2003 |
As a section 7 (ESA) biologist for NOAA in Bangor Maine, I am currently consulting with FERC and the Penobscot River Restoration Trust on the decommisioning and removal of 2 hydropower dams (Great Works and Veazie), and the upgrage of fish passge facilities at a 3rd dam (Howland). The project will reestablish the river's historic connection to the ocean while dramatically improving access to hundreds of miles of river habitat. I studied the Elwah River as an "undergrad" at UWT, and watched Pacific salmon habitat restoration come to the Olympic Peninsula. |

Diane (Johnston) Merkel - 1995 |
My education at UWT wasn't wasted; I learned how to grow the 2012 winner of Fallbrook, CA, yearly Avocado Festival; this whopper came in as 2 lbs 10 oz. Maybe saying I had something to do with its size would be stretching the truth but UWT also taught me how to have a good time in life. |
| Kiko Salas - 2008 |
After a four years in the desert southwest of sunny Arizona, my family and I will be moving back to the great Pacific Northwest. I am excited to hopefully reconnect with my fellow UWT Huskies!!! Would love to catch a UW game or other alum events. |
