The 2012 Convocation will be a new and unique event. UW Tacoma students, their families, community leaders, faculty, staff, alumni and other community members will process together from five different points in Tacoma to meet in the center of campus and celebrate the start of the new academic year.
A campus and community fair will also help introduce students to the campus and surrounding community. Everyone is welcome.
In order to participate in convocation, you are required to register online between beginning August 29, 2012.
On Convocation day, you should arrive at your selected processional location at your assigned arrival time.
Each processional location will begin walking towards campus at their assigned time.

Students, family members, alumni, faculty, staff and community members are all encouraged to wear purple and gold. Each incoming student will receive a 2012 Convocation Stole to wear during the event.
