The Annual Global Engagement Conference is the IGE and Global Honors Program's annual signature event. Global Honors students, representing a diverse range of UW Tacoma majors and research topics, present their senior capstone projects and other learning experiences to the campus and community. The conference is also competitively open to all UW Tacoma students engaged in globally focused learning.

2018 Global Engagement Conference

The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) will host UW Tacoma's inaugural Global Engagement Conference on Monday, May 21. This exciting event, an expansion of the annual Global Honors Colloquium to expand access to non honors students, will be held in concurrent sessions in the Milgard Assembly Room, Jane Russell Commons and Judith Graubard Kopp Gallery. We are delighted to announce two dynamic keynote speakers:

Morning (10:00 a.m.): Vikram Jandhyala, UW Vice President for Innovation Strategy, "Scaling Innovation Ecosystems: UW CoMotion and GIX"
Afternoon (1:20 p.m.): Enrique Leon, MD, Multicare Tacoma Family Medicine, "Community-Driven Solutions in Global Health"

The keynotes link to the themes of panels and posters that feature innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. A PDF copy of the full event schedule may be downloaded here.
