Healthcare Leadership admits students in Autumn Quarter only; the application deadline is April 15th. Applicants may apply after that deadline (provided the online application form is active), but they will be considered on a space-available basis only. Completed applications that meet the application deadline will be assured of a review. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Prospective Healthcare Leadership students should review the program's admission requirements prior to applying.

Currently enrolled UW Tacoma students may direct questions to the Academic Advising Center.

Prospective UW Tacoma students should direct questions to the Office of Admissions Advising and Outreach.

Application Steps by Student Type
I am a... Steps to apply
Transfer student
  1. Complete the Transfer Application for Healthcare Leadership through ApplyWeb.
  2. Submit an official transcript for all college-level coursework to Enrollment Services. (High school transcripts are required only if foreign language or intermediate algebra requirements were completed in high school.)
  3. Complete the Healthcare Leadership Program Application and Supplemental Materials Kit and submit to the Healthcare Leadership program office.
Current UW Tacoma student
  1. Complete the Healthcare Leadership Program Application and Supplemental Materials Kit and submit to the Healthcare Leadership program office.
Returning UW Tacoma student
  1. Complete the Returning Student Application through ApplyWeb.
  2. IMPORTANT: supplemental materials may be required to complete your application by April 15. Contact the Healthcare Leadership program for additional information in order to be considered for admission.
International student
  1. Please see the international student undergraduate admissions information page to apply.
  2. Complete the appropriate Application through ApplyWeb.
  3. After applying to the University, complete the Healthcare Leadership Program Application and Supplemental Materials Kit and submit to the Healthcare Leadership program office.
  4. International students will find additional support in the Office of International Student Services.

All newly admitted Healthcare Leadership students must complete a Verified Credentials, Inc. (VCI) online criminal background check and pay the associated fee (currently $65). The background check is a condition of admission. Additional documentation (including a repeated criminal background check) may be required prior to enrolling in THLEAD 480/Healthcare Leadership Fieldwork. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from fieldwork.
