The Global Honors Program is the University of Washington Tacoma's interdisciplinary campus honors program, adding distinction to the bachelor's degree. It offers curricular pathways in Global Scholarship, Global Leadership, and Global Citizenship, and a Minor in Global Engagement. The Program oversees major-specific honors, connecting them to high impact global learning practices. Its Institute for Global Engagement operates the Student Engagement Program which provides certification for globally-focused experiential learning for all UW Tacoma students.
The Global Honors Program offers a stimulating learning environment, an innovative and experientially-rich curriculum, internationally-reputed and highly-invested faculty, community-partners-in-residence, generous scholarships and travel awards, specialized advising, and an active community of critically engaged students. Open to qualified students of all majors, it is designed to increase the depth and breadth of student understanding of critical global issues.
Applications for admission to the Autumn 2017 cohort will open in March 2017.
