Academics

At the Institute of Technology, students not only learn to use technology tools — they actually create them.

Computer Science and Systems

The Computer Science and Systems degree program offers students a solid foundation in computer science principles along with the software design and development required to effectively apply them.

  • Bachelor of Science [B.S.], Computer Science & Systems

Become an expert in design and development, analyzing and building significant software systems. The BS in CSS represents a rigorous course of study which offers a solid core in computer science principles along with a host of intensive project work in specific sub-disciplines of the field.

  • Bachelor of Arts [B.A.], Computer Science & Systems

Build a strong foundation in computing and gain a breadth of knowledge and experience. The Bachelor of Arts degree provides the student with an opportunity to experience more breadth in the academic experience, and to apply the fundamental concepts and technologies of computer science to another academic discipline.

The main goal of this program is to provide an educational option for students who want a thorough and rigorous grounding in the principles of computing and computing technology, but will be "informed consumers" of the technology rather than "aggressive primary builders" of the technology.

  • Master of Science in Computer Science & Systems

The master's program features an innovative and broad approach to computer science and the design of applications software. The master's degree will deepen your theoretical knowledge of systems and operations, and may help launch you to the next level of your profession.

Computer Engineering and Systems

The Computer Engineering and Systems degree program combines computer science and electrical engineering to equip students to design both hardware and software solutions to meet today's technology challenges. The program emphasizes embedded systems integration.

  • Bachelor of Science [B.S.], Computer Engineering & Systems

Enter technology development as an engineer, with deep knowledge of both hardware and software design. The BS in CES combines the knowledge and principles of both computer science and electrical engineering to grant students both the theoretical and practical foundations needed to solve problems in all aspects of computing.

Information Technology and Systems

The Information Technology and Systems degree program offers students a solid foundation in understanding the technologies underlying computer-based information systems as well as how to manage, analyze, disseminate, secure and link information. Various tracks are planned to allow the student to focus on areas of interest, such as systems administration, web services or data mining.

Minors

Minor in Applied Computing

Get an edge in the job market and satisfy your curiosity about the way technology actually works. The Minor in Applied Computing is designed to empower students from any background both to understand and to thrive in our rapidly changing technological environment. The minor does not require computer proficiency or any prerequisites.

Minor in Computer Science & Systems

Gain a solid foundation in computer programming, and learn to apply software engineering to your primary field of study. Students who complete this rigorous minor in CSS will be equipped with the real world skills to work within a software development environment.
