CSS admits students twice per year for autumn and winter quarters only. The May 15 deadline for Autumn 2018 admission has passed and the application is now closed. The next admission cycle is for applicants who intend to start the major in Winter 2019. Please check back for application information in late summer.
Autumn 2018 Admisson Information
**CSS is a capacity-constrained major. Competitive applicants typically have grades of 3.0 and higher in prerequisite math, science, and computer science courses, as well as a strong cumulative grade point average.**
Note: If you are not a current student at UW Tacoma, you must first apply for admission to the university. See the UW Tacoma Admissions page for information on the application process and deadlines. Once you are admitted to UWT and have a student number, you may submit your application to CSS.
You must upload a copy of your unofficial college transcript(s) as part of your CSS application. If you still have prerequisite courses to complete, use the space provided to indicate when and where you will be taking those courses. It is your responsibility to submit an updated transcript to the Institute once grades for your remaining prerequisites are posted.
All prerequisites must be completed before you may be admitted and start the program.
