President Obama has declared that “the cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation.” Cyber professionals with leadership skills are in high demand in the public and private sectors and business clusters within our global community. According to the Dept. of Labor, cybersecurity is one of the top three growth fields of the next decade. Washington state is the number one generator of high tech jobs. The need for cybersecurity leaders will grow exponentially. Stay current with this rapidly evolving career field.


The Master of Cybersecurity and Leadership (MCL) program leverages the resources of the Institute of Technology and the Milgard School of Business to create one of the most innovative graduate programs at UW Tacoma. By identifying, addressing, and promoting solutions for issues of information assurance and cybersecurity, MCL will serve as an educational foundation for invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the state of Washington, giving its graduates the path to success in in the cybersecurity field. You can play an important role.


The MCL is designed for professionals with a minimum of three year's work experience, IT managers, and military personnel with an accredited bachelor's degree. Applicants are seeking a competitive advantage for advancement in the military, in government agencies, and in the private sector for leadership positions in the growth area of cybersecurity operations. The MCL program provides graduates with the managerial skills and technical competencies necessary for leading technology professionals and organizations in the 21st century.
