Kurt Marx named UW Tacoma's Assistant Director for Clean Water Innovation at the Center for Urban Waters

Main page content

Kurt brings 13 years of experience to this position, including successfully reinvigorating the Washington State TAPE (Technology Assessment Protocol - Ecology) storm water technology certification program. In his new role, he will lead our collaborative efforts to establish Tacoma as a nationally-recognized center for clean water innovation, building on the considerable momentum built by the opening of the Center for Urban Waters, the creation of the Water Partners of Tacoma IPZ, the hosting of the first two very successful Wellspring Conferences and the Washington Stormwater Center. Kurt will continue to supervise the TAPE program, and is actively recruiting a colleague to work with Ecology to administer that program.
