I-20 Delivery/ Pick-up Info

Please always allow 5 business days for your International Student Advisor to respond regarding your I-20. Once your I-20 is ready, your advisor will email you to your UW Tacoma email account. Please be sure to check this email account at least once a week. Below are options on how to access your I-20.

Option 1: Pick up at UW Tacoma ISS Office in person

We are open Mondays- Fridays, 8AM to 5PM. We are located in Garretson Woodruff Pratt (GWP) building, room 102. Please bring your ID. If you are requesting someone other than you to pick up your I-20, you first need to email your advisor and mention the name of the person who is picking up your I-20. 


Option 2: First Class Mail

This option is only for mailing within the US. This service is complimentary. 


Option 3: Express Mail Service (via FedEx, UPS or DHL)

This option is fast, reliable and traceable. We strongly recommend students abroad to use this option. There will be a fee of approximately $55. Please follow the instructions below to use this service.

  1. Create shipment request through eShipGlobal

  2. You will be required to create a username and password to set up an account. In setting up your account, please make sure that your name is indicated exactly as it appears on your admission documents. Use your UW student ID number if possible; if you do not yet have a UW student number, use "12345". Please pay close attention to the information submitted, as errors in the credit card information or submitting incorrect or incomplete address information will result in a mailing delay.

  3. You must use the website provided above (eShipGlobal)  - do not go through the DHL or FedEx website directly. All communication will go through the eShipGlobal service, which will notify us that you are requesting your I-20 to be sent by express mail.

  4. To request shipment, select 'University of Washington - Tacoma Campus' and 'International Student Services' as the sender address.

  5. Should you experience any difficulty in registering and processing the shipment, please use the 'Help' link in the eShipGlobal site for step-by-step instructions. If you have additional questions about how to use this service, please e-mail support@eshipglobal.com.
