Grantsmanship Training Program

Presented by The Grantsmanship Center, a trusted nationwide source of grantsmanship training and grant information since 1972.

This comprehensive five-day grant proposal writing training program is offered nationwide and is recognized as state-of-the art training by the local fundraising and non profit agencies, including the NonProfit Center and the United Way of Pierce County. The Grantsmanship Training Program is an intensive, hands-on workshop covering all aspects of:

  • Program Planning
  • Proposal Writing
  • Researching Funders
  • Developing an Evaluation Plan

During the workshop, you will have access to the Center’s comprehensive funding databases and will also receive a free annual membership to use these databases (a $495 value!), as well as one free proposal review by your trainer within that same year. Working in small groups, you will develop and present a complete draft of a grant proposal that may apply to your nonprofit agency. This training is designed for both novice and advanced grant seekers.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Washington Tacoma.

Program registration must be made directly to The Grantsmanship Center (not to UW Tacoma). Clicking the "Program Registration" button will take you directly to the The Grantsmanship Center registration page. There you will need to complete the registration form and send it to The Grantsmanship Center to be pre-registered into the class. Class size is limited to 30 students, so enroll soon!

CEU's and Clock Hours

UW Tacoma's Office of Continuing Studies will award 3.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 30 Clock Hours for completing this training for an additional $35 fee. This is only the registration for CEUs and clock hours, you must register at the The Grantsmanship Center website before registering for CEUs and/or clock hours. Please download and complete the CEU form and email, mail or fax it to the UW Tacoma's Office of Continuing Studies with payment.
