The Professional Development Center at the University of Washington Tacoma regularly seeks qualified professionals to teach continuing education workshops and certificate programs in a variety of topic areas including but not limited to:

  • Leadership and Management
  • Project Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Fundraising and Nonprofit Management
  • Technology Topics
  • Lean and Process Improvement
  • Craft Beer Entrepreneurship and Brewing
  • Contract Management

Most programs require a minimum of a master’s degree to teach. However, some programs may be taught by individuals with proficiency and expertise in their area provided they have a mix to education, experience and expertise relevant to the topic. Previous teaching experience is required.

The University of Washington Tacoma – Conference Services Department has multiple outstanding opportunities as we expand our business model. 

Conference Services Manager

Reporting to the UWTEO Director, the Conference Services Manager promotes UW Tacoma as a venue for external conferences, meetings, and special events, helping to plan and coordinate functions with groups who reserve campus spaces. The CSM also monitors the financial performance of Conference Services. 

Conference Services Assistant (Temporary)

Conference Services Assistant (CSA) supports the CS team through the preparation and successful execution of external events and conferences.  The CSA will be responsible for event execution and oversight, as well as representing the program to clients, faculty, students, staff and other members of the public. The CSA will over-see student set-up blocks and assist the Conference Services Coordinator (CSC) with training. 

We will also be posting for part-time (19hr max) positions shortly.

The University of Washington Tacoma – Professional Development Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Part-time Lead Extension Lecturer within its Craft Beer Certificate program.

We are looking for an experienced brewer to help create our Fundamentals of Commercial Brewing course that starts January 2019.
