The UW Tacoma Library provides places, services, programs and technology that support study, inspire intellectual curiosity, facilitate collaboration and engagement, and foster effective discovery and use of information resources for learning, teaching and research. The University of Washington Libraries ranks among the top research libraries in the world. With these vast resources waiting to be unlocked Tacoma Library staff are ready to ensure that each visit to the library whether in person or online advances successful academic, professional and creative accomplishments. There are two Library service desks in the Snoqualmie Building including Circulation/Media and Reference Services. Technology, and group study and presentation spaces are also located in the Snoqualmie Building. The Circulation/Reserves Service desk is located on the 1st floor of the Tioga Library Building. The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC)
The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is a place where all members of the UW Tacoma community (students, staff, and faculty) can come for feedback, help, and inspiration during their academic and learning careers. Our staff will help clients identify strategies that aid in the development of skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for academic success.
The TLC provides students academic support in the following areas:
