Purchasing UW Tacoma Parking permits

Purchase Your Campus Parking Permit

UW Tacoma students, faculty and staff are able to purchase a parking permit for any UW Tacoma lot, with the exception of the Cragle and Pinkerton Lots. Students, faculty, and staff may also purchase special quarterly permits for Community Partner Lots.

Permits go on sale about three weeks before the quarter starts and remain on sale until they are sold out. Permits are not sold on a pro-rated basis (you pay the full amount no matter when you purchase it).

Student Autumn Quarter 2017 Permits Go On Sale September 6th at 9 am

Autumn Quarter 2017 parking permits will be available for purchase online starting at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6th.

How to purchase your parking permit online

  1. Select the lot you want. (Go here for map and permit rates.)
  2. Go to the online purchasing tool.
  3. Place your order and pay using Visa or MasterCard.
  4. Sit back and wait for your pass to arrive in the mail.

Permanent Faculty and Staff

Permanent faculty and staff may order parking permits online prior to each academic quarter through pre-tax payroll deduction.  Annual and nine-month permits are available only during the autumn quarter order period.  Customers will be notified via email when their permit is available for pick up at the Finance Office in CAR 400.

All faculty/staff payroll deduction orders for quarterly parking permits will be assessed a $6.00 fee to cover administrative costs associated with processing these orders.  The fee will not be assessed to 9-month or annual permits.

The payroll deduction order/renewal period for Autumn Quarter 2017 permits will run from Tuesday, August 22nd at 9:00 AM to Friday, September 1st 4:00 PM. To purchase your parking permit via payroll deduction, please use the online enrollment form.

Faculty and staff who do not order permits using payroll deducation may instead purchase passes online with a Visa or Mastercard.

Non-Permanent Faculty and Staff

Beginning at 9:00 AM Wednesday, September 6th, non-permanent faculty and staff may purchase parking passes with a Visa or Mastercard using the same process as students.

Ordering a Parking Permit?

Customers purchasing UW Tacoma parking permits must provide

  • UW Net ID
  • a valid EID or SID
  • emergency contact phone number
  • make, model, color, and license plate number of their primary vehicles.
