Asian Studies minor

A minor in Asian Studies offers a well-rounded understanding of the countries and cultures of Asia.

You will benefit from this minor if:

  • You work or plan to work in businesses dealing with Asia.
  • You are interested in applying to graduate studies in history, anthropology or other humanities or social science areas.
  • You are a nursing or social work student with a clientele that includes members of the Asian community.
  • You are an education student interested in integrating Asian Studies into their classroom work.

Declare a minor by  completing the Request to Declare/Change a Major or Minor form and submitting it to the Office of the Registrar. You must have earned a minimum of 45 credits and declared a major before declaring a minor. If you have any questions about this process, please see your advisor.

Asian Studies minor course requirements

All courses in the minor must be completed with a cumulative 2.0 G.P.A.

List A - Frameworks: 10 credits

List B - Content: 20 Credits
