We know that many families are concerned about their ability to pay for college. University of Washington undergraduates receive about $400 million in financial aid per year. Over 60% of our undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid.
The net price calculator will give you an estimate of the types and amounts of aid undergraduate students in similar financial situations as yours have received to attend the UW. This is an estimate only and NOT a promise of an award to you.
In order to use the net price calculator you will need to know your expected family contribution (EFC). If you have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and know your EFC then you can procede directly to the net price calculator. If you do not know your EFC then you can estimate it by using our EFC estimating tool or, for a more detailed calculation, the Federal Student Aid FAFSA4caster. In order to use either of these tools you will need to have some information available from your tax return and, if you are a dependent student, your parent's tax returns.
