Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering

The Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma is seeking applications for a tenured or tenure-track Associate Professor for its Electrical Engineering program. This is a full-time position with a nine-month service period and begins September 2018. A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field is required. Experience in an ABET-accredited institution is preferred. Exceptional candidates with industrial (in lieu of academic) experience will be also considered. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated skills in teaching, who can maintain a vigorous research agenda and are familiar with industry practices. Priority areas are analog/digital electronics, power systems, power electronics, robotics and wireless networking for 5G applications. Assistant Professor in Computer Science

The Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma is seeking applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor positions for the Computer Science and Systems program. These are full-time positions with a nine-month service period, beginning September 2018. A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field is required. We look for candidates with demonstrated skill in teaching, who can pursue a vigorous research agenda and are familiar with industry practices. We are particularly interested in hiring candidates with evidence of effectiveness in teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: introductory programming courses; software engineering; computer architecture; operating systems; and computer ethics. Full-Time Lecturer in Electrical Engineering

The Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer position for the new Electrical Engineering (EE) program. This is a full-time 9-month renewable position with an initial appointment term of up to three years, beginning September 2018. Reappointments are up to five years. This position requires a Master’s degree or higher or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Industrial experience is highly desired. Successful candidates will be expected to commit to high-quality teaching and excellent communication. Priority areas are analog/digital electronics, power systems, power electronics, robotics and wireless networking for 5G applications. The Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma is seeking applications for one full-time lecturer position for the Computer Science and Systems (CSS) program. This position is a full-time 9-month renewable position with an initial appointment term of up to three years (commensurate with experience), beginning September 2018. Reappointments after the initial year are from 3-5 years. This position requires a Master’s degree or higher or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field. Successful candidates will be expected to commit to high-quality teaching and excellent communication.
