Lisa Reeves has been responsible for implementing and managing on-demand open enrollment and corporate training in response to community and economic needs for most of her thirty plus years in higher education. She is a skilled program developer and leader with a passion for developing partnerships with business, education, and community organizations. In March of 2012, Lisa joined the UW Tacoma team as Director of the Professional Development Center. She continues to build on the Center’s success by providing the South Sound community a wide range of professional certification programs which are designed to help employees enhance their current skills, strengthen their resumes for promotions and new career options and stimulate a lifelong love of learning. Lisa is a board member of the National Consortium for Certified Public Managers and volunteers as a mentor in the Student Success Mentoring Program at UW Tacoma.

Christopher Cellar’s career over the last decade has focused on achieving partnerships with external partners and building relationships in the education profession. He has successfully grown businesses and developed educational programs at the Washington State Bar Association and the technology education company, Giant Campus. Christopher and his wife also have a small publishing company, Tandemvines, that specializes in digital works. He currently lives in Seattle.

Roland Hale started at UW Tacoma as a student following an enlistment in the U.S. Army, where he served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a public relations specialist. Returning to the university as a graduate, he is passionate about finding and telling compelling stories both in his position at the center and as a commercial photographer. Outside of the office, Roland enjoys exploring the outdoors, the Seattle Sounders, and writing in points of view other than the third person.

Kathleen L. Beaumont has over 30 years of experience working in the public sector for the State of Washington working at DSHS Adult Probation and Parole and the WIN Program, Dept. of Licensing, the Criminal Justice Training Commission, Pierce College and University of Washington Tacoma. She brings her 25 years of experience in human resource development and training to her current position of Program Development Manager at the UW Tacoma Professional Development Center where she is responsible for course development, marketing and operations for Lean Six Sigma, Human Resources, Certified Public Manager and customized training programs. Prior to working at UW Tacoma, she worked as Program Manager/Developer for Pierce College Continuing Education with responsibility for developing community based programs in art and leisure, computer training and medical coding. As a Human Resource Development Specialist IV for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission she was responsible for curriculum development and management for four training academies for juvenile justice, adult criminal justice case workers and non-custody staff. As Adjunct Faculty at Pierce College, she taught both grounded and online courses for the two-year Associate in Digital Design degree program.
