Ecology and Conservation Biology Research at UW Tacoma

Ecology and Conservation Biology is an important area of research that our faculty is involved in.  We are fortunate to have a broad range of research expertise in our Division ranging from marine conservation biology, soil ecology, insect behavior and urban ecology.  Our faculty investigates micro and macro level interactions in our natural environment including invertebrate larval connectivity as well as processes impacting human-carnivore conflict through both laboratory and field studies.
