    We are currently continuing to accept new Criminal Justice applications on a space-available basis. Please apply as soon as possible to ensure admission consideration for Autumn 2017.

Please make sure to submit all required forms and transcripts on or before the application deadline. Applications received after the application deadline will be reviewed on a space-available basis, and may be placed on a wait list.

All students are required to submit a Personal Goal Statement. Your Statement is an important element in the review of your qualifications. Please use this opportunity to point out relevant aspects of your life that may not be evident from your academic record.

Please address the following in your statement (2 pages maximum, typed, double-spaced):

♦  Describe your interest in criminal justice and your reasons for pursuing a criminal justice major, and

♦  Describe your desired educational outcomes

Depending on your status as an applicant, the application process may vary as indicated below.

Current UW Tacoma students

After reviewing the list of Online Criminal Justice admission requirements, current UW Tacoma students should submit the following materials for consideration:

Transfer students

Transfer students applying to UW Tacoma will complete the Application for Transfer Admission, which includes the Personal Goal Statement. You will find the Criminal Justice Online Program under "Online Degree Programs" in the Program Selection area of the transfer application.

Applicants are also required to submit an official transcript from every college or university attended, even if no credit was earned; this includes any college or university you are currently attending.

Returning UW Tacoma students

If you were previously enrolled in the Online Criminal Justice major at UW Tacoma, please contact Jill Haugen, Advisor and Academic Specialist, prior to reapplying: cjonline@uw.edu.

Running Start students

Applying to the Online Criminal Justice major is a two-part process which requires (1) application to UW Tacoma and (2) submission of required Online Criminal Justice application materials.
