How do I nominate someone?
Nominations can be made online. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on March 30, 2012. To avoid complications, we ask that you confirm that the person you wish to nominate is willing to be recognized.
Who is eligible for the award?
All UW Tacoma staff, permanent or temporary, professional, classified, or librarians, full time or part time are eligible. A whole department or a team of people can be nominated as a single nomination.
Who can submit a nomination?
Any UW Tacoma faculty, administrator, staff member or student can nominate someone. You may only nominate one person (or group) per year. Anyone who submits a nomination is ineligible to serve on the award selection committee.
Is the award only for the current year of service?
No. The award is intended to recognize outstanding staff members. There may be someone recognized for consistently going above and beyond throughout their career at UW Tacoma. There also may be someone recognized who has made a spectacular contribution to the UW Tacoma community during the past year. The nomination can be for one particular project or for many years of outstanding service.
What do the recipients receive?
The two staff members selected to receive the DSA each year are honored as part of the annual Spring Celebration where they are presented with a framed certificate.
