Late Night Study Space Program
Late Night Study Space Program is a pilot program that is coordinated by ASUWT (Associated Students of University of Washington Tacoma) in partnership with Facilities, Campus Safety and Student Engagement. This program’s purpose is to analyze the cost of the opening up the buildings after hours, while providing late night study spaces to students of University of Washington Tacoma.
The Late Night Study Space pilot program provides registered UW Tacoma students access to the classrooms, meeting rooms, and common areas of Cherry Parkes (CP) and McDonald Smith (MDS) for late night study, student collaboration, and team assignment meetings, as follows:
TIME 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
EVENINGS Monday through Thursday
PILOT DATES October 1 through June 14
ACCESS Commerce Street entrance to Cherry Parkes (CP) only
Please note, these buildings will not be available during holidays, emergency campus closures, or during suspension of operations.
In order to gain access for late night study spaces, students are required to fill out an online request form, and they must be enrolled for each Academic Quarter during the 2018-2019 Year at the University of Washington Tacoma. After filling out the form, Office of Student Engagement will verify the requesting student’s status, and notify students via email with instructions for picking up their access card.
After June 14th, 2019, there will be an assessment regarding to this pilot program and changes may apply the next Academic Year.
