UWT Accepts College Level Examination Program Transfer Credit
The University of Washington Tacoma knows each learner brings a vast array of experience and knowledge to the campus. We respect that knowledge, and accept transfer credit for successful achievement on a number of equivalent CLEP exams (College Level Examination Program). Whether you're a history buff, speak a world language, have done independent study, or learned general knowledge in non-academic and distant settings, the ability to demonstrate that knowledge can mean transfer credit on the UW Tacoma campus. See the UWT Admissions CLEP site for more information on subject exams and the process involved.
Current CLEP equivalencies at UWT
CLEP equivalency is determined by each subject's faculty experts. Each exam was studied for equivalency to courses taught on campus. For further information, or if you have questions, please see your advisor or the UWT Admissions CLEP page.
World Language Requirements and Transfer Credit

Our Spanish language faculty have also determined CLEP equivalaency for further credits CLEP offers exams in French, German and Spanish.
