About Writing Advisory Committee (WAC)
The writing advisory committee is a university-wide committee, ideally composed of faculty and staff from all corners of the university who care about the teaching and learning of writing. The committee advises the Director of the UWP in all matters concerning writing on campus. This is the first university body to generate and discuss the UWP’s goals, philosophy, and design, as well as the FYW program and the upper division writing requirements. It’s on-going charge is to two-fold:
- To advise the Director of the UWP on all matters related to writing and its instruction on campus
- To review and offer feedback to W course teachers on the writing portion of their courses
This committee has been reassigned and now reports to the APCC.
