UW Tacoma Organizational Effectiveness Program
NEW! LEAN Challenge 2012!
With over 100 staff trained or experienced in LEAN, the campus is ready to take on more LEAN projects to find and eliminate waste and improve processes!!
LEAN Challenge 2012 is an OE Program "collaborative contest" to highlight and encourage LEAN project teams to form (with appropriate sponsorship), to make improvements and then report successes so our collective progress can be tracked and celebrated and together we can learn! A celebration of the outcomes of these LEAN projects with recognition for both individual and cumulative results will take place in May 2012!
· What will be the impact of UWT's LEAN Projects for 2011-12?
· How many total hours can we save by improving processes as a campus?
· What will be the TOTAL amount of dollars saved in our efforts on campus?
· How will we radically improve student experience across campus?
· How can we better support faculty or staff by streamlining processes?
Let's find out what can happen when we put all this LEAN training and skill to work!
Resources to support LEAN teams are available on the OE Resources page. This includes a LEAN Team guide (in Power Point), many useful forms and tools plus a LEAN Report template to tell the story of your successes as a LEAN Team.
OE Program: Resources and support for continuous improvement at UW Tacoma.
Units and programs across UW Tacoma make extraordinary efforts every day to fulfill the campus mission to provide access to higher education in the South Sound region as a four-year and graduate institution. But leaders and teams face real challenges like the need to cut waste, increase efficiency, adapt to rapid change, create and implement meaningful plans, build high performing teams, and continue to learn and grow.
UWT's Organizational Effectiveness Program can help.
The OE Program provides resources, tools, training and support to help leaders, teams and the entire institution improve and succeed. Starting where your unit or department is at, we collaborate with you to create an approach to meet the unique needs of your situation.
