International Student Orientation (mandatory for all F-1 and J-1 international students)

Autumn 2015

Autumn new student orientation will be held the week of September 21-25, 2015. Undergraduate students, you can sign up for one day through the Husky Orientation Week website here. Please note that for the one day you sign up for, you will attend a general student orientation in the morning and the international student orientation in the afternoon, which makes the entire orientation day from approximately 8am to 4pm. The orientation will be held in William Phillip Hall (WPH), which you can find directions to on the campus map here. Orientation is mandatory.

Graduate students, you should attend the orientation on Thursday, September 24th. Please note that graduate students should not attend the Husky Orientation Week, but should only attend the international student orientation portion from 1pm-4pm on Thursday, September 24th. The orientation will be held in William Phillip Hall (WPH), which you can find directions to on the campus map here. Orientation is mandatory.

Bring your passport and I-20; we will need these items to register you in SEVIS. You can also bring a printout of your I-94 record; if you are not able to print this out before orientation, there will be time in the computer lab to do this.

The first day of Autumn quarter classes is Wednesday, September 30, 2015. If you have any questions about when you should register and important dates for Autumn 2015, please take a look at this handout.

Please note the following important links. We will discuss these items at orientation, and they are listed here for your reference. Find the answers to more Frequently Asked Questions on our website here.
