The University Y offers several different posting opportunities to advertise UW Tacoma events and activities. At this time, the University Y does not allow postings from external groups.
These policies are not for postings and signage during events. Please reference our Events Policies for information on postings for during an event.
We have three designated areas for flyers – one per floor – that are managed by our staff. Posting areas are not open to post on. All postings must be approved and our staff will post all flyers. To post flyers in the University Y, please bring three (3) copies of a flyer to the Front Desk in the Center for Student Involvement (UWY 107). Our staff will review the postings and then approve/deny it. If approved, we will post the flyer. We will also remove the flyer when appropriate.
Our posting areas can accommodate the following paper sizes/orientations:
- 8.5”x11” – Portrait
- 8.5”x11” – Landscape
- 11”x17” – Portrait
- 11”x17” – Landscape
NOTE: If you have a flyer that is a different size or orientation than what we have availability for, please still bring your flyers to the Center for Student Involvement for posting so that we can determine if we have space elsewhere.
It is important to note that space for flyers can be limited in our posting areas. We will always post any flyer that we are able to, but we cannot guarantee that space for flyers is available.
BANNERS, EASELS & A-FRAMES
The University Y offers the option of postings banners, easels and a-frames in the building. To have one of these options posted in the University Y, please contact Jeremy Homolka, Student Facilities Specialist, at email@example.com. Approvals and placements are specific to each request, so we will work one-on-one with those interested.
If you would like to discuss a posting option that is not listed here, please contact Jeremy Homolka, Student Facilities Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will work one-on-one with those who have ideas for postings. We will do our best to accommodate unique posting requests, but cannot guarantee our ability to approve them.
NOT APPROVED POSTINGS
All postings in the University Y must be approved. Any postings that are posted without approval will be removed. Additionally, any damage caused by not approved postings will be charged to the individual/group affiliated with the posting.
