Academic Affairs believes that to achieve an exceptional instructional environment requires collaboration, discussion, and the exploration and sharing of ideas among its faculty.
A Place to Think, Reflect, Share and Grow
The Faculty Resource Center (FRC) is located on the UW Tacoma campus in Walsh Gardner 208. The facility is available for a variety of faculty-initiated activites such as meetings, seminars, and presentations. Comfortable surroundings and available technologies offer faculty an opportunity to confer with colleagues in a facility designed to support and enhance the collaborative process. The Office of Digital Learning is housed at the Center and available for a quick consult or thoughtful conversation. In addition, the FRC staff prepare workshops and conversations on emerging topics in higher education, pedagogy, and scholarship.
There's always a cup of tea, soft chair, and friendly face at the Center. Faculty can book the space for open meetings (writing groups, brown bags, special topics), and gather when the space is not open-reserved for small meetings and conversations. Check the FRC site for more information and Calendar of Events.
