Residence Classification Requirements

The Office of the Registrar has detailed information on residency classification and the residency questionnaire. Residency is determined by several factors in addition to physical residence in Washington and may be established through the submission of documentary evidence. See the website for more information about residency classification or contact the Office of the Registrar.

Military Personnel

Active-duty military personnel stationed in the state of Washington, their spouses and dependent children are eligible for resident (in-state) tuition. Please request a military exemption form from the Veteran and Military Resource Center.

Veteran Residency

Active Military, recently discharged veterans and their spouses and dependent children who otherwise would not meet the 12-month physical presence in the state may still be eligible for resident (in-state) tuition. Please request a veteran residency form from the Veteran and Military Resource Center.
