Milgard's Case Competitions

UW Tacoma Case Competition Focused on Big Data

The team of Ranie Betzina, Rebecca Dickson, Deborah Petri, and Awen Yuan took top honors ($500 for each team member) in the February 1 competition that featured a case about Palantir, Data Analytics and CSR. A team of eight business and community leaders determined the hotly contested outcome. The second place team ($250 each) was David Burich, Noah Carr, and Sammi Kuhlman. Finishing third ($125 each) was the team of Wyatt DeJong, Corey Kim, Grace Verkuyl, and Sarah Yaeggy. Plus, the first place team will represent the Milgard School of Business in the March 1st Case Competition on Social Responsibility.

Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsiblity

The Center for Leadership & Social Responsibility at the Milgard School of Business presented the 8th annual undergraduate Case Competition on Social Responsibility on Friday, March 1, 2019. The case given to students involved creating a proposal for the Zillow company and how they could more adequately serve customers through increasingly problematic issues within the housing industry. Teams from select universities (11 domestic, 8 international) were invited to send a team of four students to participate along with their peers from universities world-wide.
