Cyber Resiliency

Main page content

Cyber Resiliency is as much about reducing risk in a proactive sense as it is about developing the organizational skills and capabilities to respond to unexpected events after they have occurred. The first dimension of cyber resiliency speaks to how through technologies, policies and practices, an organization can predict and prevent cyber attacks and incidents before damage is done.  The second dimension of cyber resiliency manifests most obviously after an attack has occurred and refers to organization’s ability to cope, respond and bounce back. Building the organizational skills, culture and values that enable individuals to work together in crisis situations is inherently a management task, rather than a technical one.

Keynote speaker Andrew Weller, Managing Director of PwC’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice, will be followed by an inter-industry panel discussion featuring leaders from Columbia Bank, Gordon Thomas Honeywell LLP, I/O Active, Infoblox and Multicare. The evening also includes a networking opportunity where representatives from many cybersecurity companies active in our region will host table discussions to exchange information about their companies and to develop insights about careers in cybersecurity.  Participants including students and attendees will have an opportunity to rotate through multiple tables during this interactive portion of the evening.
