Important Information
Late Fees
Late payment fees will not be assessed as long as the payment is received within 20 calendar days from the citation notice date. If payment is not received by the due date, a $10 late fee is added.
Late payment fees will not be assessed if the citation is in “Appeals/Petitioned” status.
Accounts in Collections
If the parking fine you received has gone to collections, you have the option of paying the collection agency directly. Their contact information is on the letter you received.
If you did not receive a letter from the agency, you can pay the balance using UW Tacoma's online purchasing portal. After your payment is processed, we will notify the collection agency that you paid us directly. Your collection notice will then be cancelled.
Appealed Citation Fines
If you have filed an appeal and received a fine reduction, you can proceed to make a payment as usual. All questions about appeals should be sent to uwtcita@uw.edu.
Processing Timeline
Payments are processed immediately.
It is your responsibility to provide the correct citation reference number and license plate number in order to avoid processing delays.
If you no longer have the citation reference number, email uwtcita@uw.edu to request a list of your unpaid parking citations. You will need to provide your license plate number, your name and the approximate date of your citation.
Terms and Conditions
All payments successfully processed are non-refundable.
Payments will be applied based on the citation reference number and vehicle license plate number provided by the customer during checkout. If this information is incorrect and cannot be verified by the university, a full refund will be processed within three (3) business days. If this occurs and it results in the citation not being paid by the due date, the registered owner of the vehicle will be responsible for any additional late and/or collection agency fees that are accrued.
