ESCO – Phase 2

ESCO – PHASE 2 - $830,000 PLUS A $350,000 STATE GRANT

Upgrading of the Academic Block DDC (direct digital control) system. The existing system has reached its end of life cycle and is no longer product supported. Due to this upgrade, the building function can be better managed to provide more energy efficient operation.
Also included was the replacement of the Dougan building chiller. This chiller was well past its life cycle. Replacing this chiller provides energy savings and reliable operation.

BHS Chiller Coil

BHS CHILLER COIL REPLACEMENT - $60,000

The chiller that provides cooling to the entire academic block was nearing the end of life cycle. To extend its life, all coils were replaced which saved total replacement cost and diverted a larger piece of equipment's impact to the University's waste stream.

Dawg House Refresh

DAWG HOUSE REFRESH - $136,000

Refresh of the Dawg House student lounge. Scope included updated finishes, LED lighting, charging stations, increased microwave capacity, and new furniture. It provided a fresh look to UWT hub of student activity.

Parking Lot Safety

PARKING LOT SAFETY – COURT 17 GARAGE & WHITNEY LOT - $70,000

LED lighting upgrade at the open Whitney parking lot and Court 17 parking garage. This upgrade not only increased the safety of these parking areas, but also dramatically increased their energy efficiency.

Court 17 Upgrade

Court 17 Bike Rack and Big Belly Installation - $30,000

Removal of one entry bench, installation of concrete slab, installation of Big Belly trash receptacle, new bike rack, and new campus standard building sign.

WPH Floors

William Phillip Hall Carpet replacement and CBL Floor Polishing – $30,000

As part of the AV upgrade to WPH, FS removed existing carpet throughout the hall and installed new. The existing carpet was removed from CBL and concrete floor was polished.

CP and DOU Canopies

CHERRY PARKES AND DOUGAN CANOPIES - $12,000

Installation of new canopy to provide a focused main entry to Cherry Parkes. Also included in this project was replacement canopy material at Dougan on Jefferson Street side where weather and wind has torn the existing.

SCI 105 Classroom Refresh

SCI 105 Classroom Refresh - $43,000

Refresh of classroom including new carpet, base, paint, LED lighting upgrade, and HVAC improvements.

MAT and CP Roofing

MAT AND CP – ROOFING REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE – $995,000

Replacement of end of life cycle roofing system with new 30 year system. Project also included the replacement of skylights with more opaque panels which allowed more daylight into the space. Future upgrade of common area LED fixtures with daylight harvesting is planned.

BHS 107 Classroom Refresh

BHS 107 Classroom Refresh - $48,000

Refresh of classroom including new carpet, base, paint, LED lighting upgrade, and HVAC improvements. This classroom will also function as our new distance learning classroom.
