To be considered for priority financial aid, we recommend you submit your FAFSA or WASFA before January 1st each year after the application come out of October 1st of the prior year.
Students that do not submit the FAFSA application by the priority date should still complete the FAFSA application as soon as possible. However, certain funding will be unavailable to students who apply after the priority date.
To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA), you will need:
Your Social Security Number (if applicable)
Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
If you are a dependent student for financial aid purposes, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).
