Global Honors Pathways

All students are encouraged to consider the benefits of the full Minor in Global Engagement, but Global Honors also offers certificate pathways with fewer credit requirements for those who wish to avail of our signature opportunities without overburdening a busy academic schedule. All pathways, and especially the Minor in Global Engagement, considerably enhance your academic credentials and provide a competitive edge. Students pursuing the Minor in Global Engagement are strongly encouraged to consider the benefits of the Bamford Fellowship in Global Engagement.

Global Honors Certificate Pathways:

Global Leadership (17-23 credits)

This certificate is for students who want to complete most of the Global Honors curriculum, including:

  • an introductory course (TGH 203 or TGH 300)
  • two or three of the core classes (TGH 301, 302 and/or 303)
  • the research methods workshop (TGH 490)
  • the capstone project (TGH 494, 495, or 496)
  • a credited capstone presentation (TGH 491)

Students have some flexibility in spreading these requirements across 2-3 years, depending which core classes are selected.

  • Global Leadership certification
  • Graduation cord
  • Access to Program resources including the Global Honors Reading Room
  • Flexible capstone options including leadership development themed internships

Global Citizenship (12-18 credits)

This certificate is for students who want to complete some of the Global Honors curriculum, including:

  • an introductory course (TGH 203 or TGH 300)
  • one (or more) of the core classes (TGH 301, 302 and/or 303)
  • the research methods workshop (TGH 490)
  • the capstone project (TGH 494, 495, or 496)
  • a credited capstone presentation (TGH 491)

Students have some flexibility in spreading these requirements across 2-3 years, depending which core classes are selected.
