Global Honors' interdisciplinary and globally focused curriculum is designed for the high achieving student seeking distinction to the undergraduate degree. Several pathways that deepen students' understanding of complex global issues are available, all designed to complement major coursework. The more rigorous the pathway, the more integrated with the full benefits of the Program which include funded research, travel, and experiential learning opportunities. Pathways are as follows:

Major-Integrated Global Honors

General requirements for Major-Integrated Global Honors are as follows:

All Major-Integrated pathways include 8-13 credits from:

  • One Global Honors introductory course (T GH 203 or 300; 5 or 2 credits)
  • One Global Honors capstone preparatory course (T GH 490; 2 credits)
  • One Global Honors capstone course (T GH 494, 495, or 496; 2-5 credits)
  • One Global Honors capstone presentation (T GH 491; 1 credit) at the Annual Global Engagement Conference

Core course requirements vary by Global Honors pathway, to include 5-15 credits from:

  • Minor in Global Engagement and Global Scholar Pathway: One or two Global Honors core courses (T GH 301, 302 or 303) and one or two honors-approved courses completed as part of major requirements (three courses, 15 credits total)
  • Global Leadership Pathway: One Global Honors core course (T GH 301, 302 or 303) and one honors-approved course completed as part of major requirements (two courses, 10 credits total)
  • Global Citizenship Pathway: One honors-approved course completed as part of major requirements (5 credits total)
