Although not required, Global Honors students are strongly encouraged to participate in a study abroad experience as part of the Program. This experience opens intellectual and personal doors and is central to the kind of global understanding that is the foundation of the Global Honors Program at UW Tacoma.
Students may choose to go abroad for as little as three weeks (the minimum required for those choosing study abroad) or for an entire quarter or more. Students who study abroad are required to share their study abroad experience as part of the Global Honors Study Abroad Seminars in Autumn.
Please refer to the Office of Global Affairs (OGA) for guidance on University policy regarding international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are encouraged to schedule an advising appointment with OGA staff to discuss study abroad options.
