All foreign national employees must establish a Glacier account upon hiring. The new employee will receive a Glacier invite, via email, from firstname.lastname@example.org. The email will include a link to the Glacier Tax System along with instructions for establishing a personal Glacier account. The employee is required to complete the online tax system to ensure the appropriate tax status is applied. The system will also monitor work authorization expiration dates. After the employee completes the online questionnaire, the system will generate a personal Tax Summary Statement and the appropriate tax forms for the new employee to complete and sign. These original forms, along with the appropriate identification documents listed on the Tax Summary, should be sent to the UW Tacoma Payroll Office, Campus Box 358431, for review before they are submitted to the Seattle ISC Office.
