Main page content

Congrats to UW Tacoma's Shantelle Johnson and Nick Rogen, 2014 UWT recipients of the Bonderman Fellowship!

What is the Bonderman?

The Bonderman is a unique UW opportunity offering 14 lucky UW students $20,000 each to engage in independent exploration and travel abroad. The Bonderman is NOT for study abroad programs, it's an opportunity for UW students to get out and explore on their own! Photograph of a group of students

Each year, the Bonderman Travel Fellowship offers University of Washington graduate students (including those in the Law and Business Schools and other graduate and professional programs) and select undergraduate students the opportunity to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. [Find out where 2014 Bonderman Fellows are going and why...]

Bonderman Fellowships enable students to undertake independent international travel to explore, be open to the unexpected, and come to know the world in new ways. Fellows may not participate in a program or organization, engage in formal study at a foreign university, conduct research or other academic projects, or travel with an organized group  Bonderman Fellowships are intended to introduce students to cultures, peoples, and areas of the world with which they are not familiar.
