Learn business leadership skills: Leadership series begins April 11

Improve your business leadership skills with a certificate in leadership from UW Tacoma's Office of Continuing Studies this spring.

Milgard School of Business faculty member G. Kent Nelson will lead six workshops emphasizing the skills managers need to become more effective. The Leadership in a Changing World certificate program begins Friday, April 11. Participants will learn about leadership and vision, communication skills, conflict resolution, team-building and everyday leadership challenges.

Nelson, who holds a Ph.D. in speech communication from the UW, is a well-known local public speaker, facilitator and trainer. He has been a management and communication consultant for several prominent South Puget Sound service organizations and private companies.
