Specialty coffee lecture

Ken Redding, former vice president of business development at Starbucks, and Jeff Angell, president of Pura Vida Coffee company, will speak about the specialty coffee industry in a special lecture at UW Tacoma Tuesday, April 22. Presented by Milgard School of Business faculty member Tracy Thompson.

Thursday, April 24, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Join UW Tacoma students, faculty, staff and alumni for a family evening of fun and education at the scenic Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Take a private tour of the beautiful South Pacific and North Pacific aquariums, listen to a special presentation by UW Tacoma alum Karen Povey and enjoy a hosted reception of beverages and hearty appetizers. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for current UW Alumni Association members, $5 for children 12 and under and free for currently enrolled UW students.
Adventures in Light: The Reniors' 'Family Pictures'
Friday, April 25, 5:45 to 9 p.m.
Participate in an exclusive, private guided tour of the "Renoir as Printmaker: The Complete Works" collection, followed by a hosted reception and guest lecture by Dr. Claudia Gorbman. Dr. Gorbman will take you through a dazzling multimedia presentation on the Impressionist connections of artist Pierre Auguste Renoire and his son, French filmmaker Jean Renoir. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for current UW Alumni Association members and free for currently enrolled UW students.
