UW Tacoma will be closed in honor of the national holiday.

Art exhibit: 'to wend' by Tyler Budge and Sara Young

Through July 15

Paintings, sculpture and video by UW Tacoma faculty artist Tyler Budge and guest artist Sara Young will be on display in the UW Tacoma Gallery through July 15. The work includes motorized wind cones and oil paintings exploring movement. The gallery is located at 1742 Pacific Avenue; hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Fridays from Noon to 5 p.m. For information, contact the gallery at (253) 571-7914.

Professional Development Center graduation

Celebrate the achievements of students earning a professional certificate from the KeyBank Professional Development Center at UW Tacoma. Nearly 70 graduates will be honored for completing certificates in human resources, real estate, fundraising, leadership, technology and more. UW Tacoma Chancellor Patricia Spakes will deliver the keynote address. For information, contact the Professional Development Center at (253) 692-4618.

On the first Tuesday of every month, UW Tacoma admissions advisors host an information session to answer questions about the university and offer campus tours and admissions advising for anyone who is interested in applying to UW Tacoma as a freshman or transfer student.
