Individual Counseling

This form of counseling provides the opportunity to discuss and explore problems or feelings that are important to you. The general aim of individual counseling is to help you grow toward greater freedom in making informed choices and acting on personal decisions that are satisfying to you.


Assistance available to couples who wish to clarify and work to resolve the sources of stress and conflict within their relationship. Spouses and partners who are not students can be seen at Counseling & Psychological Services if they are engaging in therapy as part of couples counseling with a currently enrolled student.

Groups - 

There are times when the best way to work on personal change and understanding is within a group setting. This provides the opportunity to share and learn from others, to improve specific skills, and to receive feedback and support. Students are encouraged to call Counseling & Psychological Services with suggestions for group topics.

Build Your Social Confidence Group: A place for students with social anxiety to learn and practice skills and strategies to increase confidence in social situations and reduce anxiety and discomfort.
Two seperate groups meet on Fridays from 11 a.m.-12:30 a.m.  and 1-2:30 p.m.

Interpersonal Group: A group for undergraduate students who would like to connect with others by sharing personal experiences. You can increase understanding of yourself and your relationships, have an opportunity to practice new ways of relating to others and have authentic experiences giving and receiving support
Meets on Fridays at 9 - 10:30 a.m.

Men’s Group: A weekly process and exploration group space where male identified students can talk openly about men’s issues and explore the facets of masculinity. Group meets on Fridays and will run during Spring Quarter 2020.

LGBTQ+ Counseling Group: A brave, intentional space for sexual and gender diverse students to learn effective ways to interact with others by giving, receiving, expressing fears and talking honestly about their lives. With sufficent interest this group will run in Spring Quarter 2020.
