Admitted freshmen and transfer students pay a $159 New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee (NSEOF) to secure admission to UW Tacoma. The NSEOF was previously named the Enrollment Confirmation Fee (ECF); its name was changed in 2015 as part of a tri-campus effort to streamline processes for students.
The NSEOF is used to fund programs and services that help students transition successfully to the University.
The Department of Student Transitions works with the Orientation Programs Committee and Orientation Adivsory Committee to oversee how NSEOF funds are used. The following programs and services receive NSEOF funds:
- New Student and Family Programs
- Husky Orientation Week
- Jump Start to Success
- Pack Advisors
- UW Tacoma Convocation
